Merry Christmas From Freedom’s Door

We extend to you our best wishes at this blessed time of year. We also come to you with gratitude for all that you have done to assist in the work that we do to bring relief from homelessness and addiction healing. Without you, none of this work is possible as it is the generosity of the Friends of Freedom’s Door which has funded our programs for decades. We now manage many homes and have over 100 people under our care.

As there is such a large demand for affordable housing and for the provision of addiction recovery and mental health services, we are planning for expansion. We always have a large waiting list. Many want healing programs but there are not enough beds available. The homeless population in our country is now over 250,000 suffering people.

We therefore wish to construct town homes, with four bedrooms in each unit. We will build in the rear yards of our three homes on Belaire Avenue, so the land cost is free. Fifty-two new bedrooms will be built in three phases over several years.
